Event Space
Level 1
Including performance/conference area, cinema, ‘cube’ space and orientation space.
This flexible, multi purpose space can accommodate up to 300 people theatre style or 150 cabaret style. Fully equipped technically, with a full theatrical lighting rig, it can be hired for a wide range of events including performances, conferences, product launches and award ceremonies. In addition to the large performance / conference space, Level 1 also includes a 56 seat cinema and ‘the cube’ – a flexible room which can be used as an additional space or ‘break out’ area.
The entrance way leading into Level 1 accommodates 100 people and has full
views of the Tyne Bridge. This area is perfect as a reception space or for serving buffets and refreshments. Both the orientation space and Level 1 are self contained ensuring exclusivity.
It is possible to hire the cinema and orientation space independently of other Level 1 facilities.
Level 2a & 3
BALTIC offers two unique and flexible spaces for meetings, interviews and professional training sessions.
The Director’s Office on Level 2A has north and west facing floor-to-ceiling windows which make the most of the landmark view. The office can hold up to 35 people theatre style and 25 board
room style.
The Conference Room on Level 3 is an unusual, modern meeting space, with views over the River Tyne, Gateshead Millennium Bridge and Baltic Square. The meeting room seats 25 people theatre style and 20 people board room style.
A wide range of equipment is available to hire in both spaces including video and DVD players, data projectors and laptops equipped with PowerPoint. Hot and cold drinks can be served in both spaces.
Level 6
Glazed on all sides, with spectacular views, the Rooftop Restaurant is a premier a la cárte dining space run by celebrated restauranteurs, McCoys. It can accommodate 100 for seated meals and up to 120 for buffet style events. Exclusive hire is available for both lunch and evening events.
This space can accommodate AV equipment such as projectors, plasma screens and PAs (available to hire on request).
Rooftop Restaurant Viewing Box
Level 6
The Viewing Box is a private dining area linked to the Rooftop Restaurant. This exclusive area overlooks Baltic Square, the River Tyne and Gateshead Millennium Bridge. It is a unique eating or entertaining space, accommodating up to 30 for a sit down meal and up to 40 people for a drinks reception/buffet. The space is available to hire for lunch or evening events.
This space can accommodate AV equipment such as projectors, plasma screens and PAs (available to hire on request).
First Floor, Riverside Building
A larger eating space, overlooking the river with an outdoor terrace. It is suitable for large dinners and receptions, accommodating 120 people seated and up to 175 for a standing buffet.

Riverside Café Bar
Ground Floor, Riverside Building
A perfect party venue which looks out onto Baltic Square, the Riverside Café Bar accommodates up to 150 people for informal receptions (evenings only).
