Portfolio Advice Day
Thursday 26 November 2015 / 10.00-15.00

A free opportunity for students aged 13-19 years old.

Portfolio Advice Day at BALTIC will offer your students the opportunity to receive advice and critique from tutors in the Further and Higher Education Sectors as well as the option to participate in a number of drop in and bookable artist-led workshops.

Artists and tutors from the region’s colleges and universities will be representing a variety of courses including academic and vocational pathways. They will offer advice on what to include in a portfolio, share their expectations of a course interview and give individual critique to students on their work on a one-to-one basis. It is useful therefore, for pupils to bring either a portfolio or a small selection of work either physically or digitally.

Alongside opportunities to meet tutors and gain practical portfolio advice, BALTIC artists will deliver free taster workshops in ceramics, photography, sketchbooking and life drawing.

Stay for the day and split your group into different drop-in sessions and workshops, or dip into just one or two. In order to manage capacities, pre-booking for this event is essential even if you are only accessing drop-in opportunities.

For bookable workshops, please provide the names of students taking places.

Please contact vickys@balticmill.com to confirm your group’s attendance.

Opportunities are scheduled throughout the school year and publicised via BALTIC’s secondary teachers emailer. For more information, or to add your address to our database, contact vickys@balticmill.com
