ArtLife is a series of films produced by ART MIX, BALTIC’s young people’s group, created alongside artist Bex Harvey, exploring issues that matter to them and their peers, using BALTIC’s exhibitions as a starting point.

The first film in the series, ArtLife:Play, uses sound, performance and spoken word to investigate how ART MIX understand and relate to BALTIC’s current exhibition, The Playground Project. The group have explored questions surrounding the subject of play and have thought about what it looks like, how it has changed and what it needs in order to happen. The ArtLife film series will continue with up to 3 films being produced each year.

Creative responses can be in any art form; from music to dance to performance, poetry or painting or even a short film made on your phone.
